Dr. Jonathan Hooker discovered his interest in radiology while working at the Liver Imaging Group at UC San Diego, where the blend of physics and the visualization of human anatomy captured his interest. He was immediately comfortable working with anatomic representations depicted on diagnostic imaging, demonstrating a keen eye. He shared his expertise and was able to train other members, residents, and visiting scholars on the physical and anatomic foundations used in the lab. This experience led Dr. Hooker to pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West with further training in radiology at the same institution. During his training, one of his most memorable cases was of coarctation of the aorta and the changes to nearby peripheral vasculature. The case illustrated how adaptable the human body can be.In his free time, he finds balance and enjoys running, cycling, camping, and spending time with his family.Dr. Hooker’s excitement to learn pushes him to continually improve his skills, and works to apply newfound knowledge to his diagnostic imaging reporting skills.
